Top 5 Communication Apps on Android in Serbia Q2 2022

In the second quarter of 2022, the top five communication apps on the Android platform in Serbia exhibited diverse performance trends. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into their weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics.

WhatsApp Messenger experienced a consistent download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads peaked at approximately 10.5K in mid-April and then oscillated between 8K and 10K for the rest of the quarter.

Telegram had a more varied download trend. Downloads started at 9.3K in late March, gradually declining to around 5.4K by the end of June. Notably, Telegram’s revenue saw a significant increase towards the end of the quarter, from $4 in mid-June to $86 in the following week, before settling at $50 in the last week of June.

Rakuten Viber Messenger demonstrated steady performance in both downloads and revenue. Weekly downloads remained stable, hovering around 7K throughout the quarter. Revenue showed a consistent upward trend, starting at $98 in late March and reaching $129 by the end of June.

Snapchat saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 8.1K in early May. Downloads slightly fluctuated but generally maintained a range between 6K and 7K towards the end of the quarter. Revenue for Snapchat remained minimal, with occasional small amounts recorded.

Moj A1 had a notable peak in downloads in mid-April at around 10.6K. Following this peak, downloads showed a declining trend, dropping to approximately 4K by the end of June.
